Stop dismantling basic security.
The cabinet’s direction combines cuts and rising costs that hit citizens with the least financial room the hardest. We say: enough is enough.

What is this petition about?
People who cannot work deserve stability — not punishment in euros.
VAT, healthcare, housing and fixed costs can’t keep rising while incomes lag behind.
Stop shifting the bill onto low and middle incomes.
Major decisions must be transparent and backed by public support.
What we demand
- No further cuts to disability/Wajong-like benefits.
- Basic security as a hard floor — policy must not push people underwater structurally.
- No additional cost increases that disproportionately hit low and middle incomes.
- Transparency and real input for policies that directly affect everyday life.

Why this petition?
Because basic security isn’t a luxury. And policies that hit people with the least room the hardest should never become ‘normal’.
Cuts and tighter rules affect people who can’t work. Illness or disability is already hard enough; poverty on top is not an ‘incentive’—it’s harm.
VAT, healthcare, housing and groceries rise faster than incomes. If you have no buffer, every policy change hits immediately.
The housing crisis and pressure on services require realistic choices: faster building, better mobility in the market, and policy guided by capacity.
Major decisions are too often framed as ‘inevitable’ while citizens carry the consequences. We want transparency, public support and meaningful input.
A personal story (why this matters)
For most people, being unable to work due to illness or disability is not a choice. It’s loss: of routine, prospects, social connection and often pride.
If benefits are then structurally reduced, something avoidable happens: insecurity, stress, and the feeling of being punished for something you didn’t choose.
This petition is for everyone who feels the bill is being shifted onto those with the least room. That’s not fair — and it’s not smart, because it makes problems bigger instead of solving them.
- No further reductions in benefits for people who are unable to work through no fault of their own.
- Protect a hard floor of basic security: essential living costs must remain affordable.
- No new cost increases that disproportionately hit low and middle incomes.
- Housing and intake policies that match capacity and available homes.
- More transparency and public input on decisions that shape everyday life.
